Linda’s Little Learners is a licensed in-home childcare program located in Citrus Heights, CA, (License# 343626037) serving families throughout the surrounding areas including Roseville, Fair Oaks, and Orangevale.
We provide a warm, nurturing, home-away-from-home environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to learn, grow, and explore at their own pace. Our program blends structured activities with play-based learning to create a fun, engaging, and well-balanced day for every child.
With over 25 years of childcare experience, I believe children thrive best in an environment where they are known, valued, and cared for like family. At Linda's Little Learners, we focus on building confidence, kindness, creativity, independence, and strong social skills through hands-on learning, exploration, outdoor play, and meaningful daily interactions.
A Small Group Setting with Individual Attention
Although Linda's Little Learners is a home daycare, we operate with the structure and organization of a small center while maintaining the warmth and comfort of home. With two caregivers available, children benefit from smaller learning groups, individualized attention, and caring support throughout the day.
Our daily routine may include:
- Circle Time
- Hands-on learning activities
- Outdoor play and exploration
- Story time and music
- Free play and creative activities
We strive to keep children engaged and learning while also allowing them the freedom to enjoy childhood in a relaxed, loving environment.
Our Approach to Learning
Our program is rooted in play-based learning because we believe children learn best through curiosity, creativity, movement, and hands-on experiences.
We gently encourage kindergarten readiness skills such as:
- Early literacy and language development
- Numbers and counting
- Social and emotional growth
- Problem-solving and independence
- Classroom routines and listening skills
All learning is presented in a playful, encouraging, and age-appropriate way that helps children build confidence and a love for learning.
A Caring, Faith-Based Environment:
Linda's Little Learners is a faith-based childcare program guided by Christian values such as kindness, patience, compassion, honesty, and respect for others.
As part of our day, children may hear simple Bible stories, sing uplifting songs such as "Jesus Loves Me" and "This Little Light of Mine," and participate in age-appropriate conversations that encourage kindness, gratitude, and positive character development.
While our faith influences the loving environment we create, families of all backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs are warmly welcomed and respected here. Our goal is for every child and family to feel safe, included, supported, and valued.
Partnering with Families
Strong communication and partnership with parents are very important to us. We want families to feel connected, informed, and confident in their child's care.
We also offer a private, invite-only Facebook group for enrolled families where we share updates, photos, and moments from throughout the day so parents can stay connected to their child's experiences.
At Linda's Little Learners, we hope families feel like they are joining an extended family, not just enrolling in childcare.
